PayPal is seeking interns to work with us during 2018. We are looking for stellar interns who will graduate between December 2018 and June 2019.

A successful candidate joining the Risk Management team will help to manage the operational risk under an enterprise risk framework to minimize the total Company cost over time. Improve user experience, enable revenues, and take on end-to-end execution of team projects - all while supporting the stakeholders involved. You are someone who loves to learn and is adaptable to change as you work with large sets of data and identify and implement processing improvements. We’re looking for leaders with the knowledge and confidence to make savvy decisions and roll out big changes for PayPal.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct sophisticated quantitative analysis and drive deep business insights.
• Design and implement decision strategies to optimize risk-reward tradeoffs.
• Build predictive models to identify fraudulent activities in system.
• Develop and maintain dashboards with key performance metrics.  

Requirements

• Master degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related fields.
• Strong logical thinking capability. Understanding of various analytical and modeling methods is a strong plus.
• Strong software programming skills and familiar with at least one programming language. Experience in managing large volumes of complex data (SAS, SQL, Excel/VBA, Excel PivotTables) is a strong plus.
• Good communication skills. Fluency in English and Chinese, both written and oral.
• Knowledge of E-commerce, online payment and mobile a is a strong plus
